Reflection #110

Summary: Today we were supposed to do an assignment about a story called A Rose for Emily, but one, I wasn’t here for the first part, and two, we didn’t even get the right set of questions. Reflection: I think he said this is the last week that I have to do these, which is nice because every day in 5th period I remember that I have to do this, and because of my love for instant gratification, I decide “I’ll do it in 6th period”. It follows that I do not do it in 6th period. Evaluation: I can’t really focus on any other class at all this week but AP Psych. Because until Tuesday, I hadn’t actually started studying for the test on Thursday. But this weekend, the plan is to do ALL of the work from the last week, projects included. Which, I suppose is easier said than done, but I spent the last 8 days on AP Classroom. Anything is better than this. Reveal: I’ll be damned if I don’t do well on this exam. I think I deserve it.

Reflection #109

I had the AP Gov exam today, and wasn’t here for class. I’ll also be doing the same thing for Thursday and Friday.

Reflection #108

Summary: Today we did the presentation we were supposed to do like 4 years ago where we copy information from the career stuff to a Powerpoint. Reflection: I was just doing math practice for the first 20 minutes of class, because I didn’t think the powerpoint would take a long time. And I was right. Evaluation: Honestly, I don’t know why this was such a priority. It’s just a reiteration of information from a different assignment. Maybe it has something to do with time constraints that it doesn’t make sense to me as-is. Reveal: I am so locked in, I am honed in, and I am tapped in.

Reflection #107

Summary: Today we wrote a short poem based on what we read on Tuesday. We also had to pick an image from online to write the poem about, whether to represent a theme or illustrate an image in the poem. Reflection: I mean, descriptive imagery is really fun when I GET TO CONTROL IT. So this one was enjoyable, because I got to choose the scene. And today was a very “walking home from school on a slightly rainy and uneventful day” day. Evaluation: I was worried to write another poem because I don’t actually like writing poetry (it just feels weird and pretentious for me), but this kind was better suited to my taste. Reveal: I’m tapping in for the SAT rematch this weekend. I did a reading practice test today for it and i got a 770 out of 800. Although, the math came in at 520, so I do need to work on that.
