Reflection #58

 Summary: Today we continued the play, but as kind of a combination of both yesterday and Tuesday. Some parts were read aloud, and others were silent. Other than that, we filled out a table on how words are used in the play with certain connotations to prove a point, as well as reading scene 3. 

Reflection: We also got weekend homework :exclamation-point: That being said, I just did the whole thing (I think) in like 5 minutes. And so I will put that here also. 

Evaluation: I can write my paragraph here >:) Because we have to do that! With the collage!

The images here of the cities are Grand Rapids, MI, as well as Atlanta. Both of my parents are from these areas (dad and mom respectively), and every year we travel to Michigan and South Carolina (where my mom's family is now) during the summer. In addition, my mom's dad was in the Air Force several decades ago, so that explains the bottom right. Going further back, my grandma's family is from Sweden, which would explain my hair and my height. My dad's family is Dutch, and that's also why they always lived in Holland, MI, which is a super Dutch-focused city of Michigan, because of immigration reasons. Lastly, there is nothing we enjoy more than a good, pure chicken. That's- in my family- called "cuisine".

Reflection #27

 Summary: Today we finished doing the benchmark test from yesterday. As you intended, we only left one question for today, being the extended essay question. Or, at least I was supposed to. I had to do both 19 and 20, so I only had around 25 minutes to write a full essay. Reflection: Given that I only had 25 minutes, I was glad to see that the topic was something I knew off the top of my head: US Foreign Policy. Side note: taking AP Gov and APUSH have helped me a lot more in other classes than I would have thought. Evaluation: I am abysmal at English MCQs. However, I believe that I am actually pretty good at writing, which is why this test frustrated me. Why should I be given a 40/100 for only knowing how to express the content I’ve learned in a way other than that which the admins think I should be able to? In my opinion, that approach squanders individuality of the student.  It is what it is.

Reflection #29

 Summary: Today what I was supposed to do was finish the Benchmark test from Monday. What actually happened was, I finished the test on Tuesday, and I didn't have anything to do for the whole class. It might have benefited me to know this information on Tuesday, however "it is what it is". Reflection: I wish I had known or been told that we would've spent today finishing the test. In that case, I would've taken more time on the MCQ section, and probably gotten a better score than... what I got.  Evaluation: I am glad the test is over. Ever since 6th grade, when they started making me do the benchmark tests, they've always felt like a chore. I did learn from this one, however, that I can write a full essay in 30 minutes. Weirdly enough, I actually did that again today in AP US History. We had to write an LEQ on the American Revolution in ~35 minutes, and I literally put my pen down as the bell rang, having written 2 and a half pages by hand (If I am forced to d...

Reflection #91

 Summary: Today we went over a worksheet on creating claims, instead of identifying them. The sheet gave us a bunch of examples, and we had to make a claim for and against them. Reflection: After doing this assignment, I went back to the sheet from Friday, which I didn’t know how to do, and I think I’ve got it now.  Evaluation: As I just said, I only really understood how to identify a claim after I wrote a bunch of them. So, I think you should- in the future- do the writing claims sheet before the identifying claims sheet. Reveal: I have so much work this year good googly
